A Summer Festival Full of Fun Returns to Harpenden

Summer is almost here, which means one thing… school fair season is back!

We’re delighted to support once again the hugely popular Summer Festival organised by The Grove Schools PTA, taking place on Saturday 20 June from 2pm to 6pm on The Grove Schools’ playing field in Harpenden.

A real highlight in the local community calendar, the event promises an afternoon packed with family fun, fantastic food and entertainment for all ages.

Visitors can look forward to inflatables, fairground games, crafts, face painting, glitter tattoos, market stalls and even the chance to “Sponge the Teachers”! There will also be performances from the school choir and Year 2 country dancing, alongside activities from local organisations including Harpenden Fire Service, Mad Science, Ovation Performing Arts and Little Legends Sports Academy.

Food and drink will be available throughout the afternoon, with everything from pizza, crepes and loaded fries to homemade cakes, candy floss and ice cream. For the grown-ups, there’ll also be a fully licensed bar serving Pimms, wine, beer, cider and G&Ts.

And rounding off the day, local band Number 7 will return with live music from 3.45pm to 6pm after proving a big hit last year.

At Bradford & Howley, we’re proud to support schools and community events across Harpenden, St Albans and Marshalswick, and we know just how much work goes into organising events like these.

We hope the sun shines and the whole community comes together for another brilliant afternoon.
