Introducing Bradford & Howley

We’ve been providing estate agency services in Harpenden, St Albans and Marshalswick for a while but you will have known us as Putterills, our new name is Bradford & Howley.

Why the change of name?

Andrew Bradford and Liam Howley bought a Putterills franchise back in 2009 and set up in Harpenden, St Albans and Marshalswick. Since then, we have been Bradford Howley LLP trading as Putterills but as from Wednesday 27 September 2017 we will still be Bradford Howley LLP  but trading as Bradford & Howley - hence the rebrand.

“We’re delighted with our new brand and can’t wait to invest more in our marketing and help clients promote their homes. It’s fresh and vibrant and showcases exactly what Bradford & Howley stand for” Andrew Bradford

What to expect?

Clients will still receive the same exceptional service by the same people, in the same offices. The branding has changed but our culture and expertise remains unrivalled. It’s an exciting time for the team who are passionate about property and providing estate agency services to the local market.

“Our staff are really excited. It’s a positive change for the business and everyone is keen to promote our new venture and continuing working as a team providing exceptional service to our clients”. Liam Howley

Bradford & Howley - the story so far:

Bradford & Howley’s founders; Andrew Bradford and Liam Howley have over 47 years’ combined experience as estate agents in St Albans and Harpenden.

After working together at Frosts estate agents in St Albans, Andrew and Liam went to work at Putterills, Harpenden in July 2008 and joined the team as Directors. With the plan to invest in a franchise, they became Partners creating Bradford Howley LLP and on 9 September 2009 opened the Putterills St Albans branch. In the summer of 2010 they purchased the Harpenden franchise from Tony Putterill and in October 2012 they opened their third branch in Marshalswick.

As an independent estate agency; Bradford & Howley provide exceptional service to both, sellers, buyers, landlords and tenants in the local area.

Setting out their own values and being passionate about property is at the heart of the business. A team you can trust, experts in the local market and people who genuinely care about delivering exceptional service and a desire to succeed - this is what makes Bradford & Howley unique.

We saw the busiest-ever start to a new year for the housing market in 2022 and there’s no sign of it slowing down as we head into the busy spring home-selling season. Selling your home can be as daunting a move as when you first bought it. Selling and buying another property at the same time can be even more stressful and complicated. It feels like there has never been such a collective yearning for balmy spring and summer months and the nascent interior trends for spring/summer 2022 are a reflection of that hope for literal and metaphorical sunnier days. Giving your garden some TLC is certainly worth doing if you're putting your house on the market. A few small changes could make your outdoor space more attractive to potential buyers and could subsequently help to sell your house faster. The housing market heatwave across Great Britain continues this month as temperatures soar up and down the country. Asking prices have hit a record-high for the sixth month in a row rising by 0.4% (+£1 354) to £369 968. In London the average is now £692 828.
